Agustín Berruti

Cutlery

He was born in 1973 in Tandil, Buenos Aires. The Berruti family has worked leather since 1883. They settled in the city of Tandil in 1928 and today continue to carry out their trade there. Agustín was born there, in the workshop, in the midst of strips of raw leather and began to learn as though it were a game. His natural curiosity led him to start specializing in transforming noble materials (horns, bones and wood) into objects used daily, especially knives. He created “Criolla”, a broad collection of cutlery, characterized by very detailed handiwork especially careful with the materials, often complex and delicate, that require to be molded with dexterity and sensitivity.
