He was born on December 13th, 1955 in Villa Dolores, Córdoba. He learned the craft from his grandmother, Elvira Quevedo, who wove blankets for her family. He progressively refined his technique in different trips to the provinces of Catamarca, Tucumán, Salta and Buenos Aires. He visited wichi communities and contacted other masters to assimilate their distinctive techniques (Pampa, Toba and Mapuche) One of his pieces was gifted to Pope Francis by the government of the province of Buenos Aires. The sultan of Brunei also requested he craft several sashes for him. Since 1989 he has specialized in weaving together with his wife. He obtained the first prize in “Traditional Sashes” in the National Handicraft Competition organized by the National Arts Foundation.
